Villa Godi is one of the first projects by Andrea Palladio, as attested in his monograph Four Books of Architecture. The client and owner of the property was Gerolamo Godi, who had it built for his son Antonio. The work was completed in 1542. The central staircase was the main access leading to the noble floors and was restricted to the central arch of the loggia, looks like a medieval drawbridge able to control all the entrances to the family's private rooms.

Immaginary and Unknown Cities representing the highest levels of articulation and of complexity of human activity in his madness toward the premature and total destruction of the planet, an idea in science fiction (and hopefully not real), about the Global Earth conurbation. Premature destruction compared of the natural death of the sun, which will make our planet uninhabitable anyway. Beauty and harmony borned from the earth, in consonance with nature and in contrast to a strong push toward the artificial that is a dangerous trend of our era. Historical trend that emerged from the time when the industrial revolution began to change rapidly and irreversibly a world that until that moment lived in a balanced ecosystem. This ecosystem was formed in times so immense that's for our imagination hardly graspable, for our inability to abstracting our thinking from the contingency of the time in which we live. A natural world in which we was always been a small piece integrant in balance. Unknown Cities instead are extreme expressions of the conurbation of the planet, as well as the hope to realize always more complex technology until you get to build cities prepared to survive in Space, that will be necessary when we will destroy all the Earth, our ship in the universe.

"The factory is the place of complexity, like the complexity of mind, creator of unknown mechanisms, connectors, pumps and hydraulic or air equipment, screeching discs, molten metal. Orange factory is complexity in orange, the complexity that eats fire, spits it out and sterilizes the brain burning its housing. Burn it all! Push the engines at maximum, produce the cataclysmic essence of synthesis, produce the power of force, artifact metabolism, cold, mechanical engine combustion, iron and fire. Run to the hypothesis that the asphalt melts beneath your feet, run into the force and into the detail of fear, in the street, the street lights. Hurry, now, to put fire to the city." Lucio Forte 2012.
