Oil - 50 x 50 x 2 cm
Year painting: 2023
The painting is inspired by a poem by Montale, "The lemons". Montale, among other things, was looking for a gap, the weak link in the chain (You see, in these silences in which things / abandon themselves and seem close / to betraying their last secret, / sometimes we expect / to discover a mistake of Nature, / the dead point of the world, the link that doesn't hold, / the thread to be unraveled that finally puts us in the middle of a truth) that would take it beyond the dimension of Apparent Reality. Will the smell of lemons take us further? The white space within the painting becomes part of the drawing, just as the white space in a poetic text becomes part of the poem (see Ungaretti).
Beyond the Darkness of the Night
Oil - 60 x 60 x 2 cm
Year painting: 2024
POP ART - Darkness seems to be the final reality of man, but it is only an illusion. The small blooming buds, accompanied by small butterflies will destroy it. They will eliminate that darkness that has persisted for centuries, for millennia, with a simple touch: the lighting of an imperceptible candle that is not yet present.

There is a gap (entrance door), the one Montale was looking for, through which to access the Infinite. When it is formed it is "the star of the East" surrounded by a blue tunnel with a golden ring around it (see). This is the gap in the process of forming: the 3 basic colors and the shining white star are missing.

Atypical picture, with a round canvas. The frame is not necessary because the edges are painted. It is a polysemic picture, with multiple meanings. It cannot be explained, because it says a thousand things. Everyone takes what they see. However, the title already says a lot. It belongs to the expressionist current, which values the detail.

It is the alternating waves of Consciousness that must be extinguished, in the sense that they must give way to a state of absolute calm, of non-movement, like the calm sea water that reflects the moon. In this state the soul expands to Infinity and becomes Emerson's oversoul, mistranslated by Nietzsche into Superman.

The picture represents a feeling: pain, suffering. Feeling to be eliminated and not at all pleasant, at any level. It is foolish to say: "Thank you, Lord, for the gift of suffering"!" Are we fools? Suffering is not a gift from God, but the result of individual Karma. God feels no pleasure seeing His children suffer. He would like to see them FELICI!

Setting in the sea and In the desert of appearance
Acrylic - 70 x 70 cm
Year painting: 2015
Unique picture, you can also stick upside down. Hence the presentation title: "Double Abstract 1 and 2". The picture is twofold, that is, there are 2 paintings in one (there are in fact 2 signatures, above and below). If you look at it as Double Abstract 1, it will have the title "Sunset over the Sea". If you see it upside down, it will have the title 2: "In the desert of appearance"... All with a metaphysical meaning that I leave to you to discover. The frame is not necessary because the outer sides are also part of the picture.

The painting represents the unreality of the material that seems real and solid, but it is only an illusion. There is no solid and fixed reality, but everything is in motion, in continuous rotation (protons, electrons, neutrons, light). This is the "dance of Shiva" that the ancient Rishis of India talked about and which physics is becoming aware of today. This continuous movement produces a sound, the sound of Aum (Om), which is not other than the so-called Holy Spirit of the Scriptures.

Tribute to Sergey Alexandrovich Yesenin The picture represents the famous poem by Yesenin "Confession of a marauder, set to music and sung by Angeli Branduardi." Good night to the crescent moon Yes quiet while the air becomes brown From my window I want to shout Against the disk of the moon. The night is so clear Maybe even dying doesn't hurt here What does it matter if my spirit is perverse And from my back hangs a lantern Pegasus decrepit and good-natured Your gallop is now aimless I came as a solitary teacher And I sing and celebrate only mice. From my head like ripe grapes the mad wine of the hair drips I want to be a yellow veil swells towards a nameless country.

... Only one exists: "Everything is One". In the reality in which we live things seem separate from each other, but in reality, everything is one. Quantum physics also supports this concept (everything is vibration! Matter is not solid and the only essence is the light formed by lifetrons), like the Rishi of India. The painting, abstract, represents this idea, in the fusion of heaven and earth.

Making art with art. The clear night of Esenin (acrylic - you can stick directly to the wall. This painting demonstrates the accuracy of Carl Gustav Jung's Theory of Synchronicity. In this painting from 2015, re-adapted today, there are the two characters from the song "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin, namely the Hermit and the Lady. The Hermit formed himself, while I was re-adapting the Lady, already present in the painting. We are in the presence of the so-called "Synchronicity" of Jung, a concept introduced by the psychoanalyst in 1950, defined as "a principle of acausal connections". While I was listening to it, I was reflecting on the meaning of the Led Zeppelin song, then I started working on the painting and... the Hermit appeared without my having the intention of forming this figure. I realized it later, when the work was finished. This is why I say that it is a question of synchronicity, that is, of an involuntary, irrational operation. Well, sometimes certain anomalies happen.

Usually, in life the metaphysical reflection of things is missing, the asymmetrical reflection which is in contrast with rational logic is missing. But there is a precise moment when things change face and appear differently to us.
